June Monthly Wrap Up

June has come to an end and so has quarantine (finally). With all this time to stay home and read, I've reduced my TBR by so much!

The Merchant of Venice is the first Shakespeare book I've read and I will definitely be counting with his work!

I loved this book so much! It was amazing and exciting at every turn.

Stone Keeper by Kazu Kibushi

Rating: 3 stars
I didn't really like this book and it was bit disappointing. I know a lot of people like it but I proabbly won't be finishing this series.

Loot by Jude Watson

Rating: 5 stars
I loved this middle-grade mystery. It was so suspenseful.

The Mall was an amazing book set in the early 90s. It will also be the July book of the month.

Book of the Month

This month's book of the month was a bit different. While I usually pick a new release, I chose a book that had come already come out. June's Book of the Month was Love & Gelato by Jenna Evans Welch. They may have been logic and heartache behind the Queen's attempts on the sweet girl's life. The Queen struggles with her looks and the trauma from her childhood helps her accept the fact that she must become the fairest of them all.    This is definitely my favorite version of Snow White! From the Queen's early days as a child to her last moments, Serena Valentino took this seemingly innocent fairy tale and turned it into something dark and twisted. This is by far the most heartbreaking story of Snow White ever. At the same time, this book has enough plot twists to keep any reader entertained.  Ari can't wait to move to Baltimore with his friends. He wants nothing more than to get out of his small seaside town. If only his dad would let him quit his job at the family bakery. While interviewing possible candidates, Ari meets Hector, an easy-going guy who loves baking. As the two work together in the bakery, love starts to bloom. Bloom was an adorable graphic novel.
