Mid Year Freak Out Book Tag

Image
It's been so long since I've done a book tag, so I'll be doing the mid-year freak-out book tag today. This tag is basically a check-in to see how my reading has been going for the first half of the year. Best book you've read so far this year I've read a bunch of great books so far this year, but the best has been Lost in the Never Woods   by Aiden Thomas.  Best sequel you've read so far this year Usually, sequels aren't nearly as good as the first book, but once in a while, I find one that really blows me away. My favorite sequel so far this year is Between Burning Worlds  by Jessica Brody and Jonne Rendell.     New release you haven't read yet but want to Two new releases that I've really been looking forward to reading Cold Hearted by Serena Valentino and Goldilocks: Wanted Dead or Alive  by Chris Colfer. Most anticipated release for the second half of the year My most anticipated release for the second half of the year is The Hawthorne Legacy...

TBR Book Challange

Image
I'm back with another book tag! I first saw the TBR Book Challange on  I'm All Booked Up  so I decided it would be fun to do it too. 1. Name the TBR book with the highest Goodreads rating Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has the highest rating. Honestly, I was expecting a Harry Potter book to fill this prompt so I'm not surprised. 2. Name the TBR book with the lowest Goodreads rating I was a little surprised by this one because the plot of Autonomous  is so intriguing. 3. Which book on your TBR are you most excited to read? I am really excited about Romanov  by Nadine Brandes. 4. Which TBR has the coolest cover? I think the coolest cover is The Maze Runner . 5. Which TBR has the most buzz? Definitely  Harry Potter . Everyone seems obsessed but I just don't get the hype. Besides that The Cruel Prince  has the most buzz. 6. Pick a TBR book form an author you've read before Mother Knows Best  would be my pick...

Bookish Prediction Tag

Today I'll be doing the Bookish Prediction Tag. This tag was created by the Book Princess Reviews . All of these prompts are predictions for my next reads. Next Read: The next book that I'll probably read is The Maze Runner  by James Dashner. Next 5 Star Read: I have high hopes for  Dorthy Must Die by Danielle Paige so I'm hoping that's my next five-star book. Next 1 Star Read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will probably be the next 1 star read on my TBR. I think my rating will be more like 2 or three stars. I didn't really like the first Harry Potter book and I herd the  Chamber of Secrets  is the worst Harry Potter book. Next Love Intrest (or character that seems cool to you) I'll probably fall quickly in love with Jude and Carden from The Cruel Prince  by Holly Black. Next Book You'll Be Buying I've wanted to read The Merry Adventures of Robin Hood Howard Pyle ever since I watched Once Upon A Time so I'll be buying ...

Spring Cleaning Book Tag

Image
It's been so long since I've done a book tag! I love doing them but it's so hard to find new ones to try! But it's still  quarantine and I have nothing else to do so here's the Spring Cleaning Book Tag! 1. The Struggle to Get Started A book or series to struggle to begin because of its size         A series that I've been really hesitant about starting is the Dorothy Must Die series by Danielle Paige. There are seven books in total and though I'm sure I'll love them all. I wanted to find a time where I could sit down and read all the books. I'm sure I'll be starting the series soon! 2. Cleaning out the Closet A book or series you want to unhaul         The answer came easy for this one. I would unhaul We Hunt the Flame . This has been the only book I DNFed in the last year or two. I wanted to love this book but it was just so slow for me. If you want to see my full thoughts, here's my review.  3. Opening the ...

Stay at Home Reading Rush TBR + Tag

Image
The stay at home reading rush is going to take place between April 16-19. There are four prompts to fill out and these prompts will decide what books we read during the reading rush. There is a bigger version of this reading rush over the summer but let's start the TBR. Read a book with a house on the cover   For this prompt, I'm choosing Winterhouse  by Ben Guterson. There is a huge grand house on the cover of this book. I am so excited to start this book because I've been longing for a good mystery. I have both the first and second books in this series so that just makes me even more excited.  Read a book in the same room the whole time   I really only read in one spot anyway so that will be easy. The Odd 1s Out by James Rallison. This book is short and I'll read it quickly which is good if I want to get through all four parts. "The Odd1sOut" is one of my favorite Youtube channels so of course, I had to pick this book up.  Read a  book s...

12 Days of Christmas Book Tag

Image
Happy Holidays everyone! I first found this book tag on   Laurens Bookshelf . It was originally created by  Lizzie Loves Books  though. How the tag works are there are 12 questions and each one corresponds with a different day of Christmas. Well, let's get started. On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: A Partridge in a Pear Tree The partridge stood alone in the pear tree. What is your favorite stand-alone?     The Book Thief by Markus Zusak would be my pick for this question. I recently finished this book and it was amazing. It was such an impactful story and I cried for half of it. I normally don't like historical fiction. On the second day of Christmas, my true love sent to me: Two Turtle Doves Love is in the air! Who is your one true pairing? America and Maxon from The Selection series by Kiera Cass. I loved how their love for each other grew throughout the book. On the third day o...

Reader Problems Tag

Image
This is a recent tag, right? RIGHT?! Let's hope so...    Well, I'm currently watching this tag on Ariel Bassett's Book Tube Chanel... I don't that's spelled right but I'm getting no red line under it. So I will link her video and the original video for this tag below. 1. You have 20,000 books on your TBR pile. How in the world do you choose what to read?    I don't choose the book. It will choose me. OR the more common solution, I write down every book I want to read next on an index card and bug my friends until they vote for one. I will send pictures of the pile of choice to friends I won't see that day and I'll also go and ask teachers on a rare occasion. For example, last year, I had one list that included  Sherlock Holmes ,  Alice in Wonderland ,  Fairest of All  by Serena Valentino, and three others. In the end, I ended up reading  Alices Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass  by Lewis Carrol.  ...

End of Year 2019 Book Tag

Image
Can you believe it's time for this post? Only two months ago I was posting the Mid-year Freakout Tag. Well, let's get into this before I make a long intro! Are there any books you started this year that you need to finish?  I don't like to put books down so I don't have any have too many books to list. If I'm reading a book I bought and I don't like then I'll stick it out until the end.   So I recently finished A Tale of Magic  by Chris Colfer. I am still on a hangover. So I finished this book late Thursday night I started Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, but I didn't get very far before deciding I wanted to read a different book. I read 20 pages of Mistress of All Evil by Serena Valentino but I couldn't focus so I put it down. On Saturday, I started The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes  by Arthur Conan Doyle, but it's written it's old English so I couldn't understand/focus on it much. And this was all because I was in a book hangove...

Mid Year Freak Out Book Tag... Except It Really Isn't Mid Year Anymore

Image
Let me start off by saying yes, I know it isn't mid-year anymore but I'm still doing this anyway. So here we go! What is the best book that you've read so far in 2019?    The Land of Stories: Worlds Collide by Chris Colfer. Worlds Collide is the 6th and final book in  The Land of Stories  series. I LOVE this book series SO MUCH! I can't wait to reread this series and for the movie of the first book to come out!   What has been your favorite sequel of the first half of the year?    This question is so hard to answer since I read multiple series this year, but I think I might have to choose The Elite  form   The Selection series by Keira Cass.  Is there a new release that you've haven't read yet but your really excited for?    I love the first book in The Magic Misfits series by Neil Pattrick Haris so I would have to go with the third book the was released at some point this year. I also have to ...
