Answer These Random Questions and I'll Tell You What Land of Stories Character You're Most Like

I'm still in love with Chris Colfer's Land of Stories series. It was such a fun and amazing journey. These characters mean so much to me so I think that they deserve a quiz of their own. About The Wishing Spell For Alex and Conner's twelfth birthday, they receive a book from their grandmother. After the book starts acting weird, the twins find a magic portal in it. They are transported to The Land of Stories where all their favorite childhood fairytales are real. The only way home, however, it the wishing spell. But here's the catch, the wishing spell can only be used twice and it has already been used once before. The twins find it's a race against the clock because the infamous Evil Queen is also after the spell. My full review

Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Ravka is divided by the Fold, a shadow casting the land beneath it in darkness. The Fold is also home to volcra, dangerous flying monsters. Alina Starkov has never felt like she belongs. When her regiment is attacked, Alina reveals a hidden power that she didn't even know existed. A power that could be settling a war that's been going on for centuries. A few months ago, I watched Shadow and Bone  on Netflix. I loved it so much! It raised my expectations for the book so much, and luckily, it lived up to my hopes. Alina was a great character. I loved her! She and Genya had a sweet friendship that I liked. Geyna was sweet and  There were so many spine-tingling lines in this book! Most of them came from the Darkling. My favorite quote is "fine, make me your villain." I love that so much. While I really liked Shadow and Bone , I do have a few complaints about the book. A lot of times with fantasy novels, the setting or magic system are confusing. While I think the world w...

My Calamity Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, & Jodi Meadows

The Wild West is full of outlaws, gun-slingers, and garou. Yes, the wild west is full of werewolves. Calamity Jane has been garou hunting with Bill Hickok and performing in Wild Bill's Wild West for what seems like years now. Frank Butler, better known as the Pistol Prince, is the best sharpshooter but it seems he has met his match when he meets Annie Oakly. Annie's new to the gang but that doesn't stop her from helping when the three find themselves in a bit of a hairy situation. Jane's been bitten by a garou and if she doesn't get the cure fast enough, she might not be around for much longer. I love this series! My Calamity Jane  is one of the best series conclusions I've ever read. Like the rest of the books in the series, this one was equally as funny. Reading this book has made me so much more excited for the upcoming release of My Contrary Mary. This whole book felt like one big Scooby-Doo story. It even had a Scooby-Doo f ashion escape scene. There was ...

Infinity Son by Adam Silvera

Emil and Brighton have always idolized the Spell Walkers. The Spell Walkers are a group of vigilantes bent on riding the world of specters. While the Spell Walkers and celestials are born with magical powers, the specters take them. Brighton wants so badly to join their ranks so when Emil finds that he has powers of his own, Brighton can't help but feel a little jealous. The brothers are recruited by the Spell Walkers to help take down Luna. So going into this book, I was told it was going to be like "gay superheroes." I was so excited to read this book, but boy was I disappointed. It sucked. I considered DNFing this book multiple times. As a huge Marvel and DC Comics fan, I was so disappointed with the superhero aspect of Infinity Son.  They were okay, but not cool. I didn't like the pacing of this book. It was weird and even though the story was moving, it felt so slow. There was almost no world-building in this book. It was basically non-existent. First, this was ...

I've been procrastinating so much lately, so my recent reads post is a little late. School ended a week ago for me and I've been enjoying my summer break so far. In terms of reading, I'm in a little bit of a reading slump. The last two books I've read were a little dull. I took a long break from audiobooks for a while until reading Ruin and Rising , which was the start of my reading slump. The Sky Blues  by Robbie Couch Dates read: June 2- June 4 I started off pride month with one amazingly queer book: The Sky Blues . I loved Sky! He was so adorable! The friendships in this book were amazing too! Synopsis:  Sky is openly gay. Living in a small town, he's never been comfortable being himself around others. Sky decides to go full-throttle gay by asking out his crush, Ali Rashid, to prom. Sky has thirty days to put together the perfect promposal. When Sky's plans are leaked by an anonymous hacker in a homophobic e-blast. When his friends and classmates start to st...

Nozomi Nagai has the perfect summer planned out. She has an internship at a museum in San Fransico. To make things better, she meets Willow who is beautiful, glamorous, and... heartbroken. When Willow asks Nozomi to fake date her to make her ex jealous, Nozomi says yes without a second thought. Nozomi has a plan of her own. If Nozomi could make Willow fall in love with her, then they wouldn't be fake dating anymore. But her lies start to pile up and Nozomi's genius plan takes a turn for the worst. Love and Other Natural Disasters  included so many tropes and honestly, I loved them all. This rom-com included the fake dating trope, love triangles, and so much more! This book was cute, fluffy, and so diverse! I loved Nozomi! She was so quirky and relatable. Her endless search for love was definitely entertaining, to say the least. I also really liked Dela. For a side character who seemed pretty minor for the first half of the story, she had a lot of great character development. ...
