A Map of Days  is a different cover than the other books and I miss the old black and white. The tan doesn't look as good. Emma was a little annoying in this book. Compared to the last three books in this series, she seemed more against Jacob. I'm starting to hate the romance in this series. After Jacob discovers a new ability he didn't think he had, he and his friends are racing against the clock to save the Peculiars from doom. They'll have to travel from modern-day London to the slums of Devil's Arce if they ever hope to make it out alive. I can't wait for  The Desolents of Devil's Arce  to come out! In preparation for the big release, I've been rereading the entire series. I just finished  Library of Souls  which could feel a little long at times. For the most part, I really enjoyed this book and am super excited to read  A Map of Days . One of my favorite things about the  Miss. Peregrines Peculiar Children  series are the photos included in the books. The old black and white photographs look so vintage and fit the story perfectly. It really makes the story come alive.  After escaping Miss Peregrine's island, the children are at a loss. They have nothing but the clothes on their back. After finding out that all of Peculiardom are in danger, it's up to Jacob and his friends to save Peculiars around the world. First off, the ending was amazing! I love plot twists! Despite how great the ending was, the majority of Hollow City was pretty dull. There wasn't nearly as much action as there was in the first book of the  Miss. Peregrines Peculiar Children series.  One thing that I love about this series is the photographs included in the book! They're so cool and creepy and really make the story come alive. Something I do want to talk about is the fact these books are sold as "horror" books when infact there's nothing scary about this series.  I read the Miss Peregrines Peculiar Children series last summer and loved it. I reviewed the first book and the companion book so I will link those at the bottom of this post. Just a warning, there will be major movie suppliers and small book spoilers. If you're looking for a movie that sticks to the book, this is not it. They switched characters around, changed the whole ending, and took many great scenes from the book. There were also a lot of changes such as Emma's grotto and the museum scene. So let's start with the main difference that changes everything. In the books, Emma was Jacobs's love interest. That stays the same. But now, Emma has Olives peculiarity.
