  The Lunar Chronicles  is such a huge series and I can see why. Cinder was a great book and Scarlet  was equally amazing. Today, I'm going to focus on Cinder  because I put together the perfect playlist to go along with the book.  Izumi never felt like she fit in. She has lived in California all her life. She never knew her father but, she finds out something about him that shocks her. Her father is non-other than the crown prince of Japan, meaning Izumi is a princess. When she gets an invitation to travel to Toyko to meet her father, she goes immediately, leaving California behind. When she gets to Japan, Izumi finds that there are more struggles to being a princess than she thought. I loved this book! Tokyo Ever After  was so much fun to read and this book just flew by! If you love The Princess Diaries , then you will love this book! I feel like with most contemporaries, you can kind of tell they were written by like 40-year-old women, but not this one! Out of all of the contemporaries, I've read, Izumi acted most like a regular teenage girl. The humor in this book was spot on! One character that I really liked was Aiko, Izumi's bodyguard. I feel like Marissa Myers never stopped adding to this world. At every turn, there was something new for me to find out.  I've read a lot of YA retellings, but The Evil Queen  is by far my favorite. This book took a twist on the retelling. In The Evil Queen, Snow White  was a prophecy of the future. The whole time, Everly couldn't stop wondering which role she and her companions played. This got me wondering, what role would I have played? About The Evil Queen  Everly Morrow grew up in the mortal world. She was always an outsider, hated by everyone but her sister and mother.  After her dad cancels on her birthday dinner, Stevie and her friend Kat choose to go to New York for the evening to see a show and have dinner at Josephine's. The only problem is that the two have no phones, family drama sets them on a journey across the city, and somehow they ended up with a pomeranian. Take Me Home Tonight was so much better than I thought it was going to be. I first picked this up because the title reminded me of that song by Eddie Money. Once I read the synopsis though, this book became a priority for me to read. Theatre nerds getting lost in New York? What could be better?  I read this book so much faster than I thought I would.
