What if Wonderland was in peril and Alice was very, very late ? Alice may not be like every other girl in Kenxford, and she's perfectly fine with that. While her sister may concern herself with boys and rallies, Alice has much more important matters on her hands. Such as Wonderland. Eleven years after visiting the curious land, Alice gets an urgent message from some of its inhabitants. Wonderland is in peril, and Alice is very very late. Unbirthday was such a great book! The writing in Unbirthday  seemed a bit different than in Braswell's other books but it suited Wonderland perfectly. The epilogue also had an interesting setup and was more of a Q & A. Again, this was perfect for a story that takes place in Wonderland. I  wish there was more romance in this book. There was so much potential between Alice and Mr. Katz.   What if Ariel had never defeated Ursula?   Five years after the events of the Little Mermaid, Ariel receives word that King Triton might still be alive. She jumps at the chance to finally right the wrongs of her past. She wasn't expecting Trulia to be so different though. Prince Eric is just waking up from the curse placed upon his kingdom. Together, he and Ariel discover that Ursula has much more sinister things in store for the small oceanside kingdom of Trulia. This was such a good book! The pacing could feel so slow at times, but the story kept moving. I loved the story. The Twisted Tales series is so much fun to read. I love these alternate endings to Disney tales. Reading Part of Your World made me want to go back and watch the movie. I've had the song "Part of Your World" stuck in my head for days!   What if Meg had to become a god? After Hercules defeats Hades, he becomes a god on Mount Olympus. When Zeus tells Meg she can't be with Hercules because she's mortal, she's absolutely crushed. Luckily, Hera offers Meg a chance to become a goddess. All she has to do is go on a dangerous quest. Meg must save her ex's current wife from the underworld. Out of all of Disney's villains, Hades has always been my favorite. I'm so glad a Hercules  retelling was finally added to the Twisted Tales series. I really liked Meg. In the movie, she was snarky and kind of sassy and I really liked that. She seemed a lot different in this book though. She was still a great character. She still had a short temper, but she seemed so much softer. Like, I know she's in love with Hercules and realized that she shouldn't block herself off from the world, but she just forgave her ex so easily.   What if Anna and Elsa never knew each other? After a terrible accident when they were young, Anna and Elsa were separated for protection. Years later when the queen and king die, Elsa's memory comes rushing back as she discovers her startling new powers. On the day of Elsa's coronation, Anna's memories start to come back too. They set her on a quest to find her lost sister. But the curse is keeping them apart and they'll have to give everything to have to be reunited. I really enjoyed Conceal Don't Feel . It had much faster pacing than the other Twisted Tales  books. It was defiantly better than Part of Your World  and As Old as Time  (sorry Liz Braswell, I still love Straight On Till Morning and Unbirthday). I also NEED to read the other Jen Calonita books. I believe the only other one she wrote was Mirror Mirror . She's also writing the next novel in the series, Go the Distance . I'm so excited for that one! I liked the concept. What if Wendy first traveled to Never Land with Captain Hook?      Wendy's life is as boring as can be. She doesn't want to be a pretty lady for the rest of her life. The past where she knew her mother. Where her mother curst the Beast that is now holding her captive. Belle will go on to discover more secrets about her mother and the castle she is kept prisoner in, some of the more disturbing than others.   For the most part, all of this could have been true to the movie. But I love how it ended. This book was really good. I had a hard time in the beginning of the book by the end, I really liked the story. It was an interesting take on Beauty and the Beast  but it ended up working so well.
