5 spooky books to get you ready for Halloween

My favorite holiday has always been Halloween. I love how spooky it is! October has  

5. The River Has Teeth by Erica Waters

The River Has Teeth is a beautiful, gothic novel about witches and murder. There is no better combination for October.

Synopsis:

 Natasha's sister is missing. Her car was found abandoned on the edge of a nature reserve. When the case runs cold, Natasha's anger starts to rise. She's desperate to find answers and will do anything possible to get them, including turning the Lloyds for help. Della Lloyd's family has been gathering magic from the Bend. When Natasha appears on her doorstep, Della knows it will take more than a simple potion to help her. Della has her own secrets to hide though. She thinks the monster responsible for all the missing women in town is her mother.

4. Asylum by Madaline Roux

The Asylum trilogy is so scary! This series will defintly keep you up at night wanting more. 

Synopsis:

Daniel Crawford is spending the summer doing the New Hampshire College Prep program (NHCP). NHCP is the chance of a lifetime. When Dan arrives he finds out that the normal dorms are closed and the students are forced to stay in the Brookline Dorm, which was formally a psychiatric hospital. In other words, Dan is staying in an insane asylum. At Brookline, Dan ends up meeting Abby and Jordan. Together the three discover secrets that will change their lives forever.

3. Dracula by Bram Stoker

Dracula is defintly one orgional horror movies. When somone mentions scary creatures, my minds goes to vampiers. 

Synopsis:

In Transylvania, evil lurks. Jonathan Harker goes to Dracula's castle on business, but he finds sinister creatures are occupying the space. A month later, Mini, Jonathan's finance, finds herself in a peculiar incident of her own. Her friend Lucy has been sleepwalking. Even worse, her blood has been disappearing and she has two strange bite marks on her neck.

2. White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson

White Smoke is the best horror novel I've ever read! This one actually gave me chills! I love it.

Synopsis:

 Marigold is running from the ghosts of her past. Moving to Cedarville is the fresh start she needs. Her mom got a job with the Sterling Foundation that came with a new house. The renovated home on Maple Street is surrounded by run-down and burned houses. The only problem is strange things start happing in Mari's new home is that glasses are disappearing, doors are opening on their own, and theirs a foul order in the house only Mari seems to notice. To make everything worse, Mari's stepsister, Piper, says she's been talking to an old woman named Ms. Suga. And it seems Mrs. Suga wants Mari gone.

1. Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas

Cemetery Boys is one of my favorites books! It's spooky, magical, and gay!

Synopsis:

Yadriel has something to prove to his family. As a trans gay boy, his family doesn't believe that he can become a brujo. While trying to summon the spirit of his murdered cousin, Miguel, Yadriel accidentally summons the spirit of Julian, the school's resident bad boy. Yadriel makes a deal to help Julian cross over to the other side. But the more time Yadriel spends with Julian, the less he wants him to leave.
