I feel like every time I tell myself to stop buying more books, I go to the bookstore the very next day! It turns out I can do some real damage at Barnes & Noble when I have several gift cards.

Shadow and Bone trilogy by Leigh Bardugo

There has been so much hype surrounding Leigh Bardugo's Shadow and Bone series. I can't believe it's taken me this long to get the books. I am so excited to start this series! Last month, I watched the Netflix series and became obsessed with the characters.

Goodreads synopsis:

Surrounded by enemies, the once-great nation of Ravka has been torn in two by the Shadow Fold, a swath of near impenetrable darkness crawling with monsters who feast on human flesh. Now its fate may rest on the shoulders of one lonely refugee.

Alina Starkov has never been good at anything. But when her regiment is attacked on the Fold and her best friend is brutally injured, Alina reveals a dormant power that saves his life- a power that could be the key to setting her war-ravaged country free. Wrenched from everything she knows, Alina is whisked away to the royal court to be trained as a member of the Grisha, the magical elite led by the mysterious Darkling.

Yet nothing in this lavish world is what it seems. With darkness looming and an entire kingdom depending on her untamed power, Alina will have to comfort the secrets of the Grisha... and the secrets of her own heart.

So This Is Love by Elizabeth Lim

When I went to Barnes & Noble, one of the first things I looked for was more Twisted Tales. I had just finished Go the Distance and loved it! When I usually go, they have the whole series stocked. The only book in the series that I could find that I hadn't read yet was So This Is Love. Thought Cinderella has never been my favorite princess, I got the book anyway. I'm currently reading it and this book is so much better than I was expecting.

Goodreads synopsis:

What if Cinderella never tried on the glass slipper?

Unable to prove that she's the missing princess, and unable to bear life under Lady Tremaine any longer Cinderella starts work at the palace as a seamstress. However, when Cinderella finds herself witness to a grand conspiracy to take the king- and the prince- out of power, she is faced with questions of love and loyalty to the kingdom.

Cinderella must find a way to stop the villains of past and present... before it's too late.

The Toll by Neal Shusterman

I finally got my hands on the last book if the Arc of a Scythe series! The first two were so good and I can't wait to see how the series ends!

It's been three years since Rowan and Citra disappeared; since Scyth Goddard came into power; since the Thunderhead closed itself off to everyone but Grayson Tolliver.

In this pulse-pounding conclusion of the New York Times bestselling author Neal Shusterman's Arc of a Scythe trilogy, constitutions are tested and old friends are brought back from the dead.
