WESteen Readers Book Club Haul (December 2019)

  WESteen Readers is a club where everyone gets to pick a different book to read. We all get ARC copies of books and it's really fun. The club is held at Weaslyn R.J. Julia's Bookstore. Heres my haul:

Miss You Love You Hate You Bye by Abby Sher

To sum up the synopsis on the back of the book, Hank (short for Hannah), comfortably lives in her best friend, Zoes, shadow. Zoe is popular, confident and always the leader of their pack. When Zoe's parent's divorce, her perfect facade starts to crumble. She isn't acting like herself anymore. Zoe develops an eating disorder and relies on Hank. This poignant, eye-opening novel is ultimately about friendship, mental health, and learning to let go.

This book comes out on February 18, 2020.

Blue Skies by Anne Bustard

Glory Bea needs a miracle. The war ended three years ago but her father never returned home from the front lines in France. Glory Bea understands what Mama, Grams, and Grandpa say- that Daddy died a hero on Omaha Beach- yet deep down inside in her heart, she believes that Daddy is still out there. But miracles, like people, are always changing until they find there way home. 

This book comes out on March 17, 2020

The Elephant's Girl by Celesta Rimington

When Lexington Willow was a toddler, a tornado swept her away from everyone and everything she knew. She landed near an enclosure in a Nebraska zoo, where an elephant named Nyah protected her from the storm. With no trace of her real family, Lex grew up at the zoo with her foster father, Roger, and her best friend, Fisher. Now that she's 12, Lex can finally help with the elephants. Lex decides to investigate Nyahs message to her and she gets wrapped up in an adventure involving treasure, ghost, and a puzzle that might be the key to finding her long lost family. 

The book cover and the title remind me so much of another book I read last year, Elephant Secret by Eric Walters (which you should definitely read, by the way, 5-star rating from me).

This book comes out on April 19, 2020.
