Sky Without Stars Playlist

Image
In honor of the third book in the System Divine  trilogy coming out, I'd thought I'd make a little playlist for fans of the first two books!  Sky Without Stars  is a  Les Miserables  retelling perfect for sci-fi fans! I loved how futuristic this book was! This series seems to keep getting better with each book so I can't wait to read Suns Wil Rise ! Atmosphere- Bebe Rexha all the good girls go to hell- Billie Eilish I Hope- Gabby Barrett Boyfriend- Arianna Grande Carousel- Melanie Martinez Shameless- Camila Cabello Shining Star- Bebe Rexha About Sky Without Stars Chatine is a street rate who steals to survive. She was raised by corrupt crooks. Marcellus is an officer, raised by the general of Laterre. His father was a traitor who was part of the rebellion of 488. Sky Without Stars VS Les Mis- How They Compare

Image
My favorite retelling is definitely Sky Without Stars  which was a stunning book based off of Victor Hugo's Les Miserables. As I was reading the book, I noticed so many similarities between the two and this got me wondering, how alike are these two books? Well here is some stuff I noticed while reading Sky Without Stars. Right off the bat, I noticed that the Renards reminded me of the Thenardiers. Heck, Madame Renard was even called "the master of the house"(bottom of page 22). I would also like to point out that Chatine went under the alias, Theo Renard. That name and the name Thenardier consist of mostly the same letters.  Marcellus was undoubtedly based off of Marius. Not only do their names sound alike but both boys are extremely wealthy in a time when most are poor and living on the streets. Both also have a military background, Marculles being the grandson of the general, preparing to follow in his footsteps while Marius fought with the Students of the ABC. Alouette...

She lives in an underground refuge but an unexpected murder will bring her to the surface for the first time in years. When Marcellus unknowingly recruits Chatine to track down his old governess, they get roped into things they would have never dreamed of. Sky Without Stars  is based on Victor Hugo's Les Miserables . It was crazy how alike the two are. I love it! I could match up Les Mis  with all the characters in   Sky Without Stars . I've been watching  Les Mis  since I was a little girl and it has always been one of my favorite movies. I love Chatine. I love Marcellus. But I couldn't care less for Alouette. Each character had their own chapters which were great ...

Book Haul!!!

There's no WESteen Readers book haul this month so here's another book haul! Love & Luck  by Jenna Evans Welch I finally got this book! After reading Love & Gelato , I just had to have the sequel! This book is about Addie who visits Ireland over the summer for her aunt's wedding. The synopsis said that she'll visit her friend in Italy so I think we're going to get to see more of Lina!!! The Odd 1s Out by James Rallison My favorite (non-book related) YouTube channel is definitely the Odd 1s Out. James's videos are so entertaining. My brothers I will just sit for hours watching his videos so I was obviously going to buy the book at some point. The sequels coming out soon so you can bet I have it on pre-order! Sky Without Stars by Jessica Brody and Joanne Rendell Sky Without Stars  is a Les Mis  reimagining of Les Miserables . If you saw my review for A Wish in the Dark , then you already know I'm obsessed with Les Mis .  It...
